At the age of 5, Tamara began studying piano and quickly decided that she wanted more-voice lessons, dance and the stage were a must. From then on, Tamara started learning as much about music and performing as possible. After graduating from a creative and performing arts high school, performing in an award winning show choir and numerous musical theater production, she received a full performance scholarship to Eastern Michigan University, where she pursued her vocal performance and music education degrees. During this time, Tamara also performed with a vocal jazz ensemble that toured mostly throughout the Chicago/Great Lakes region.Some other venues have included: Michigan Opera Theater, Disney World (Ariel and Belle) and Celebrity/Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines(Jazz Quartet vocalist). Always extremely versatile and eager to work, Tamara has been sought after for both her vocal performance abilities and coaching.
Tamara began teaching privately in 1996 and continues to do so to this day, maintaining a studio of approximately 50 private voice/piano students on a weekly basis.From 1999-2003, she directed and choreographed for a stellar all female show choir. Tamara has also assisted in several public schools in southeastern Michigan as a sectional coach and accompanist. In addition to all of these accomplishments, Tamara has directed several show choir summer camps and assisted with band camps.
